Spine.

he pauses, taking it all in. the room had a distinct smell, one he found himself growing to love.

he held her in his arms. his fingers traced her curves, and then wandered across the ink that enhanced her skin as opposed to staining it.

he could feel his heart begin to race as his eyes scanned her, almost as if he was reading her. there was so much to take in, and he didn’t think he could do it all at once.

chills ran up his spine when his hand ran down hers. he could feel excitement nearly running through his veins, and he couldn’t wait to finish.

suddenly, he stopped. with a flip of the pages, he closed the book.

leaving the library, the only thought filling his mind was if the story had a happy ending.
