My name is Emani, author and avid reader.

I started Brown Suga Babe as a teen as a way to give my family a platform to read my work. It has since blossomed to somewhere I explore myself as a writer. Content here consists of short stories and the occasional poem, crafted with love and intention.

I received my B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Howard University. I am currently an MFA student at Columbia University with a focus in Fiction Writing.
